Official Standard ($79.99): the game plus the pre-order bonus. Also sold boxed in stores. Heads-up: there's no disc in the box, just a download code.
Official Ultimate ($99.99, digital only): adds vehicles (’95 Grotti Cheetah, Ganado Retro Build, Shitzu Squalo, ’67 Vapid Dominator Buggy with a garage in Watson Bay, Dinka Enduro and a kayak for Jason’s safehouse), weapons (Hawk & Little Morgan revolver, personal pistols for Jason and Lucia), outfits and tattoos.
Official Ultimate also adds its own shops (Rideout Customs, Sara’s Unisex Salon, Stock 305, Electric Fang Tattoo, One-Eyed Willie’s) and extra jobs: a raid on the “PTT Youngin$ Compound” and a classic-car collection quest from Wyman.
Official You can upgrade from Standard to Ultimate anytime.

Official Six wanted stars instead of five. The police only really show up once a crime has been reported.
Official Cops recognize you by your clothes, looks and car. Tip: wear a mask, change your outfit, swap cars.
Official White stars turn red during a chase. Black stars mean the police don’t know exactly who they’re looking for.
Official A criminal profile permanently tracks your behavior. Unnecessary violence counts against you; violence in missions doesn’t.
Official Your body changes: fast food makes you fat, the gym builds muscle, and lack of sleep shows on your face.
Official Stealing cars: older cars open with a slim jim, new luxury cars need a key cloner. Damaged cars sell for less.
Official Safes can be blown open fast (valuables get destroyed) or cracked slowly (more cash, more risk).
Official Money matters more: some story parts require a certain amount. Main income sources are selling cars, robbing stores, fences and bank jobs.
Official You can only carry a limited number of weapons; the rest go in the trunk.
Official Dead Eye (slow-motion aiming) is in, similar to Red Dead.
Official A focus mode highlights useful things nearby without map markers.
Official With headphones on your phone, you can listen to radio and podcasts on foot.

Shown Press previews also mention mini golf and a zoo. You can customize your own properties, for example by adding a pool.

Official GTA 6 launches as single player only. The current GTA Online (GTA 5) will continue to be supported.

Fake pre-orders with absurd prices keep popping up. Only buy from official stores.
Official The launch trailer from October 15, 2026 is expected to be the last trailer before release. Real trailers always appear first on Rockstar Games’ YouTube channel, so treat anything else with caution.
